Hello,

My fiancé and i are attempting to play split screen Baldur’s Gate 3. (I’m nearly to Act 3 in my single player, we’ll see how well it holds up when i get there 😅)

An issue we are having is that when two controllers are connected, both controllers can function when in desktop or gaming mode, but once you actually boot up a game, the game doesnt recognize any controller except whicher is 1st in the order. So when it says on the main menu “Press A on another controller to play split-screen” pressing A on the 2nd order controller does not register. However, if i press the xbox button, it will still pull up the steam settings.

Is there any way to get the game to recognize both controllers?

Has anyone had success playing BG3 in split screen from the steam deck?

We even tried remote playing from her laptop (which detected both controllers in-game when playing but not streaming, but it’s old so could barely even run the home screen) and streaming from the deck, but it had the same issue.

Any help is appreciated. I’m not home just now but may be able to try recommendations later today.

✌🏻

Are they both the same controller? I’ve had issues with it when trying to connect 2 different (brand) controllers.
