I’m just wondering if everyone’s sticks are a bit noisy. It’s not a huge deal as they still work fine I have no stick drift. I’ve just noticed the sticks are much louder than my Xbox controllers. I don’t have any sound when going in a circle just when the stick is first pushed and it’s most noticeable when pushing forward. Both of my sticks do this but right side is a bit louder. It also does not make the sound everytime.
My LCD has that too, you will forget about it after a few days.
yup, they are so i ended up getting these (in black though) https://www.amazon.com/Protectors-Protection-Compatible-Steam-Deck-Controller/dp/B0B631XBZ9/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=joystick+rubber+protection&qid=1701097077&sr=8-2
I’ve seen those. It keeps the sticks from hitting the body. That’s not the sound I’m talking about it. It makes the click sound as soon as you move the stick. I grabbed my ps5 controllers and they both do this as well. I guess I notice it more when I’m playing in the am and the room is quiet and volume is turned down. When I play my ps5 my stereo is on or I’m wearing a headset so I never noticed the sound before.
I have the OG deck and my sticks have always had weird clicking when I move them occasionally . I usually play with noise canceling headphones so I don’t think about it too much and I figure I’ll switch them out for gulikit sticks in the future anyways.
Just got my OLED, exact same sound (that click when initially moving the stick, especially up). My LCD isn’t as loud as this but I don’t remember if it was in the first place (if it got better with time), or if it was always quieter
