I pre-ordered a Framework 16 a while back. However, I was curious as it doesn’t seem too clear… Do the laptops come bundled with a WiFi / Bluetooth card or do you have to buy one separately?

I’ve done a small amount of digging but can’t find anything specifically about this I’ve seen people discussing which cards work better than others but that’s it from what I can recall. It was probably there in lights when I pre-ordered knowing me.

If it comes with one, I’ll get the use out of that. If we have to buy one separately, does anyone have recommendations? I was thinking the BE200 could be good future proofing but maybe overkill for me personally at the moment, that’s if it’s even compatible / stable.

If you look at the Specs tab for any given model, under the “Connectivity” heading you can see the model of the WiFi/Bluetooth card.

Thanks everyone. Good news! I had a feeling this was going to be widely known and just me not looking properly. I’ll happily use the bundled card which is almost definitely more capable than my network.

Previously, you could either buy one from them or bring your own (in the DIY Edition), but with how tricky it was to install, they now bundle one with every laptop. From the Framework 16 page, it is a AMD RZ616 Wi-Fi 6E
