Zach Shrewsbury faces an improbable task to replace the conservative Democrat in the face of a Republican onslaught – but he won’t be put off

In other words, you push for pretty much exactly Biden’s plan… But hey, he only lost by 40 points.

Manchin’s leaving because moving to the right has failed.

The only thing any centrist knows how to do has failed. Centrists just admitted they can’t win in West Virginia. So unless you finally have a plan other than the failed “move to the right” plan, let a better candidate give it a shot.

The rightmost Democrat can’t win, and your party can’t move to the right anymore.

Oh, you are just adorable! The only reason you can think of that a multimillionaire doesn’t want to be hassled by protestors for, what is effectively charity wages, is that they wouldn’t win?

        That’s cute.

You are completely missing the point.

To spell it out, these are silly assertions:

Manchin’s leaving because moving to the right has failed.

            The rightmost Democrat can’t win

God, life was easier when I was similarly ignorant of anything that didn’t support my beliefs. Buy honestly, complexity is interesting! It really is worth reading things with which you disagree, if only so you don’t sound like such a complete goof. Totally up to you and it is frustrating but being reasonably well informed is a depressing but good feeling.

If you want to be treated respectfully, make comments that are worthy of respect.

Making snarky but silly comments ain’t a recipe for being treated as an equal.

Edit: For example, deciding that I’m a centrist because I’ve pointed out your nonsense, well, it’s pretty childish. How on Earth do you expect not to be condescended to when you act like a child?

You could have just said yes. The additional demonstration of the behavior I described was unnecessary.

Instead of getting defensive or upset, maybe read what I wrote.

If you think everyone who disagrees with you is a centrist and they’re all condescending, this probably says more about your behavior than anything else.

If you meet an asshole, you met an asshole. If everyone you meet is an asshole, it’s probably you.
