What’s the lie? Netflix doesn’t give a fuck about you or me. They’re creating a list of games to provide their subscribers because they want to make more money. You want the government to pass a law that says they cant or something?

Our power here is to subscribe or not. That’s it, find another avenue to exercise control in your life if that’s not enough for you.

For me? You are missing the point, my dude. Boycotts never worked and never will. Have you ever seen one work?

They don’t. They are going to keep boiling the proverbial frog and ten years from now something that you would buy and keep forever for a fair price is now locked behind a subscription, while we get ever dwindling salaries. This is the lie.

And yes! By all means legislate it away if you can, but legislation is made for them, by them. You want it changed, first step is not rolling the damn red capet to scams like this, being aware you are being scammed.

I made that choice, but it goes beyond that. Its also about the shitty choice we make collectively rather than individually. We live in a society after all.

On the list of shitty things society decides, this is not even in the top 1 million. If you want the game and dont want to pay for it, pirate it. Easy solution for each of us personally.

Doing stuff for us personally won’t change anything is my point. I, and probably you too are pirating stuff already.

Just because there are higher priorities does not mean we should just accept the shitty thing. We don’t need to solve world hunger and climate change to have affordable media.

Yes it will, it will literally change YOUR life.

Stop worrying about if a game costs too much for your liking based on what you think society should pay for it. Nobody is going to get sick or die because hades ios is a netflix exclusive.

How many times must I say I have already decided to pirate those silly games if I want to play them?

Its not just games. Society is being submissive about it in such a way they are even doing it to cars and many other products. They are closing in an we are letting them by being that accepting. Piracy will not always be a solution. We need to agree as a society that things like this are bad. That encroaching on our life by means of squeezing our money and privacy will erode it.
