Luckily, aside from the surveillance footage of the incident, police also had another tip to go off of - the suspect’s name and phone number.

The driver gave police the information of the passenger, and police issued a subpoena to Lyft. Police said they “received the records showing the phone number and account used belongs to the defendant.”

    My dude thought he could call in a taxi like GTA and then steal it. Be careful around him. He’s the type to get a hooker and then beat her with a bat and steal the money he gave her.

      He could have called a taxi, but he chose to use an app that knows everything about him. Smart guy.

        Even a taxi company would have at least his phone number from the caller ID tho. I don’t think guys like this really think the process through
