    It makes sense, this is essentially just a play on words/phrases, on “soup of the day” and “lady of the night” (which is a euphemism for prostitute)

      “Soup of the day” is a euphemism for scraps and leftovers that are about to spoil that got boiled in a stockpot since last night.

        That’s what I thought too, “ladies of the night” is a bit of a stretch
