    Desperately trying to control the mass exodus from the clearly controlled, PATROLLED, and propagandized networks they’ve done nothing but promote and attempt to stuff into every crevice of our lives now that people have had enough of the bullshit.

    I can relate to this, and it’s not about corporates in my case. In my offline social network, there are certain topics or rants that I can’t tell because they won’t understand, or rants that I feel they’re equally helpless of. That’s why I often come back online, but no matter the platform, well, I’m just prone to addiction I guess and it’s hard to disengage because there’s no strict stopping cues.

    With fediverse (especially about Mastodon), I also find it difficult to match my values to instances’ values (I tend to be centrist). It can feel like I’m a social outcast again, seeing all those people enjoying their existence online.
