If it ain’t broke, don’t’ break it. While nothing is perfect it is really hard to do better than a chain.
I mean if they backup the talk with a 10k mile warranty I can see it.
Will there ever be a bevel gear drive shaft on a mass production bicycle? The shaft and supporting structure has to be really ridigd to keep the gears meshing properly. That means more weight and more expensive. Also, expensive replacement parts.
