The KPW (Kommunistischepartei der Wolfstaat) is quite old to say the least being founded some 500 years prior (did not become ruling party until 200 years later). It was originally a coalition of some of the more radical factions of some workers’ guilds.
Why did it take so long?
- First, their line of communism when they were founded was much closer to petty booj and ultra-left variants ranging from Marxism-Leninism-Maoism to Anarcho-communism which meant their praxis was a mess and didn’t resemble anything even close to Marxism-Leninism until some 70 years before the revolution.
- Second, rampant chauvinism - this caused several splits throughout the party’s first 200 years of existing. The most recent split was between the Neocommunists led by Chairwoman Kristina Wagner and the Paleocommunists (i.e. patsocs, ultras, and leftcoms) over two major reasons: the International Question and the Mage Question.
- Third, material conditions. Wolfstaat was still a peasant country when it was founded with industry being close to… non-existent.
- Fourth, they lacked the masses’ support until the great war. They had no idea how to get the masses to back them until Sergei Molotov’s leadership.
