dmv.social will be going down on Friday, October 6th from 10:00pm ET to 12:00am for a migration to a dedicated server.
It’s starting to make more sense to move the server off of a VPS and onto to an inexpensive dedicated server as the storage needs increase. As a bonus, the instance gets more RAM and CPU, though I doubt this will have much of an impact given the small instance size.
Momentarily I will be taking this instance offline to block federation activities while a data snapshot is created.
During this time, DNS will redirect to the new instance, and the new instance will be available after the snapshot is restored.
