I don’t see a strong connection between the store closing and the store being responsible for people not being in poverty/crime. The city/state/fed gets taxes from the store and is expected to put that to use for us. Instead Oakland has a terrible corrupt police department and a city gov that can’t meet deadlines to file for funding.
I don’t feel bad for Target, I feel bad for Oakland. The people deserve better.
