I thought horseshoe theory was disproven but most posts on there could just as well be from far right extremists. It’s just contrarianism for the sake of being contrarian.
Authoritarians are going to authoritarian, whether they’re right wing or left wing, in general they seek to centralize power in the hands of the few.
Sure they might have leftist economic policies but they still centralized around a singular figure who can do no wrong and everything perceived as bad they do is justified because they’re the good guys.
There’s a significant portion of leftists who align much closer to anarchist ideals, where power is as decentralized as possible, and they despise the authoritarianism of the pro-Stalin/pro-Mao/pro-Jiping tankies.
I feel like it’s a little difficult to say without knowing what exactly the goals of the group is and how what they say ties back to it.
To be frank, I’m not looking to get into that discussion. From what I’ve seen of those groups they seem to be very pro Russia and ignoring various issues that paint Russia in a bad light and that’s not a mindset I can get behind.
It’s you because horseshoe theory is incredibly inaccurate and not really supported in social sciences.
