Toregem’s president Honoka Kiso wrote on the company’s website she had lost teeth due to a bone disease when she was a teenager.

“I wanted to study the cause of my illness and how to regenerate lost teeth,” she said.

That’s actually a lot more noble than I expected. They’re aiming to first help those who can’t grow teeth due to genetic before expanding out to people who just have missing teeth.

So once the protein is activated does it stop? Or like turn off once it reaches the correct size? Also how does it know which teeth to grow?

You turn into a shark with a conveyor belt of razor sharp teeth. Old ones just ‘fall out’ to be replaced regularly.
