It’s not a hardline, red flag is a warning. Something to be cautious of and aware of.

Rogan is a stupid, reactionary man, who often uses his vast reach to spread provably false information. Anyone who watches him unironically is highly likely to also be stupid and reactionary.

I can understand how someone would feel personally attacked by that statement or the news that many people view it as a red flag if they’re a Joe Rogan fan.

I haven’t really watched anything since he went to Spotify

Says it all really. Maybe you should watch some of his Spotify material and inform your opinion on his current output instead of his past output.

I also used to enjoy watching his show. It was often interesting, with a wide variety of guests. I do not enjoy watching his show anymore due to the kind of people he regularly platforms, and the false info he spreads; vaccines, ivermectin, cat litter spring to mind. My own fucking dad here in the UK fell victim to his bullshit after hearing a quote about kids wanting to be cats that turned out to be regurgitated bullshit spread by Rogan. That to me was the the final straw, how someone so disconnected from those circles could be exposed to Rogan disinfo, and a warning light that his disinfo has a worrying reach.

I don’t really care about conspiracy theories

You should care more. Conspiracy theories killed people during the pandemic. Conspiracy theories bolster Russia.
