Ok guys, aside from all the ideological talk… is it not simply tiresome everyday have to deal and interact with people who are so wildly ignorant about the world? Anti-communism seeps into every aspect of people lives to the point where it becomes an inextricable part of their identity, and the worst part – they have no self-awareness about it whatsoever. [I hate to talk like this because practically any other political ideology can just call others ignorant and complain “why isn’t everyone else like me”, but I’m assuming those of you who are here are here because you are like me and there is something deep down in it that has touched your soul such that you are 100% sure that this is the way forward; it’s not an opinion, it’s a conviction, and it comes from within]

So, to put it simply, how do you function in a capitalist society without being a hermit or otherwise bashing your head against the wall all day trying to convince others of the obvious?

Stop being on this site. Delete your account go outside, take a break from politics. Being in a constant state of mind where all you can think about is capitalism and overthrowing it can fucking kill you. Greetings someone who finished his therapy traject today after trying to kill myself while being in the same headspace you are right now 2 years ago.

Thank you, and congrats to you for completely your therapy. I was just thinking to myself earlier today, if I didn’t have my faith, I’d probably be going down a similar route into darkness as you did. Faith gives me a broader perspective, and let’s me realize that everything bad in this world is just part of the game plan. In the long run, we’ll either destroy ourselves as a civilization (which will be the best thing for the earth imo), or reach enlightenment on the collective level. If there’s anything I’ve learned over the past couple of years, it’s that suffering leads to awakening. Unfortunately I do believe it will get worse before it gets better.

      Stay strong brother ✊

PS - In a moment of clarity a few months ago, a wiser version of me logged out of most socials and threw away the passwords, so now everytime I get the urge to go back to them, I literally cannot (the fact that I had spent time building up a following kills my motivation to start all over). Sometimes I regret it, but the wiser me knows it was a blessing.

I’m glad you can take strength out of your faith. Also it’s very healthy you’re aware about All of these feelings and how to cope with them. For me personally I learned to have a somewhat stable relation with keeping in touch with my political beliefs and learning to let them go to focus more on “life” in general after i went offline for a month or so. Also in general society opening up more now Made it a lot easier to proces some of the sleepless doomscrolling nights.
