I was able to get The Dig to work on ScummVM. The N3ds is the way to go for old school DOS games.

Oh, I hadn’t considered running DOS games, I would love to play The Dig on there. Does it suspend well?

Just to clarify, I meant DOS games that run in ScummVM.

I had some trouble with previous versions of ScummVM3ds but the current version has been great. I haven’t had any problems with suspending or closing the console.

I’ve been able to run the King’s Quest games 1-7, Monkey Island 1-3, Indiana Jones FoA, Quest for Glory 1-4, and other point-and-click games. Just check the compatibility list on the ScummVM site.

You can’t run the Monkey Island 1&2 Special editions on the 3ds. You CAN find a mod that adds the voice feature to the classic game. That will run on ScummVM.

Thanks for the info. I got it running really easily, I thought it would be harder.

I have been meaning to play The Dig for ages, so I’m glad I finally have it on a portable platform.

It really is. I love I was able to get the voice acting working in monkey island while playing on the 2DS.

You see that you can install half life 1 too? I failed when I tried but I should try again soon.

The “talkie” versions of Monkey Island 1 & 2 work great on the N3ds. I was incredibly stoked about how well ScummVM worked on the console.
