For those who don’t wanna Google, CIA paid a doctor to set up a fake vaccination camp. Instead of vaccinating, the doctor was actually collecting genetic information of children hoping to find a child of Bin Laden which they thought would lead them Bin Laden.

They didn’t find Bin Laden this way. But after this info came out, people grew suspicious of vaccination programs and militants stopped people from making their children take vaccines so polio cases spiked.
