I love how the NYT skews things. Gives Lamont credit for the bill despite it being written by the legislature, states that everyone hates it, and then gives the critiques against the bill. But never gives the rationale put forward in the legislature and by Lamont’s office.
I find the take supported by the state’s bear biologist, an employee of DEEP, to be asinine; that hunting and killing bears sends a message to other bears to fear humans.
