I am looking for a low-efforts zero-surveillance system to share bookmarks among several devices. For the moment being: a laptop and a mobile.
Suggestions about F-Droid apps are welcome, but not necessary!
Bonus point if federated.
YES I’LL OPEN MY LEMMY INSTANCE FOR THE PURPOSE. 🤗 🤗 🤗
Wallabag : https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/wallabag2_ynh might fit the bill ?
You can also host a firefox-sync server (relatively easy via Yunohost) though for that you still need a Firefox account. You can also host the FF account server yourself but that is more difficult to install.
Wallabag has always been suggested to me in couple with shaarli. Can you give some insight on both? Do you use any of those? Thanks!
I’ve seen the name shaarli before, but have not used it yet. In the past I have tried Wallabag, and recently I installed it again on my Yunohost server, intending to try it again. I have also used my own Firefox sync server with a Firefox account (Skipping the FF auth. server install since that was not easy). That worked fine for bookmarks sharing on desktop and phone, but I would prefer to self host all parts.
Meanwhile I’ve installed Shaarli, and it looks promising ! Here a review about Shaarli and one of the Android apps for it.
