I know the SCP foundation has a bunch of different cannons but there’s one thing that always bugs me the D-Class first there’s no way there enough death row inmates for the amount they use. Second the monthly termination. It’s Not talked about as much as it used to be but it used to be popular to assume the foundation terminated D-Class at the end of their 1 month sentence. I’ve seen some people say maybe they use Amnestics and wipe their memory which makes more sense. What do you guys think?

There could be an SCP that creates D-class personnel. Either the Foundation is lying about their origins, or they are all actually death row inmates, but from another dimension or something along those lines.

That could be a fun prompt. Especially if there’s a documented case where the foundation has received an inmate they had tested with before, but they had no memory of being there.

I could see the SCP being a prisoner transport bus that appears empty until running a route and passing through a particular set of prison gates; or something similar that plays on something commonly seen.

The “Amnestics at the beginning of each month” thing has been the most widely accepted version for years, due to concerns you pointed out. And I mean, admins on site and staff discussed this and agreed that it made the most sense (IIRC ofc).

As for the sources of D class, there are more societal rejects than just death row inmates. Some say, that D class sourced outside of death row, is probably only used for testing of skips that won’t kill them just for shits and giggles, since the Foundation is “cold not cruel”, and using Gary the Crackhead from Denny’s down the road to poke 682 with a stick would be just that.
