I simply do not understand the dissonance. redditors and missing the point (name a more iconic duo). “The rebellion was based on French and other European resistances in WWII” yeah, maybe try the Vietnamese resistance TO the French (and others) there bud. Then the kid in the show’s manifesto is just “against tyranny” but no, definitely not a systemic critic of imperialism, no. Def not a direct reference to Marx or Lenin. Just “against tyranny”, so profound! Ffs… liberals
