What makes you think you matter? You don’t. Sure you have a small group of people that like you, but I don’t like you because I don’t know you. The person walking down the street doesn’t care about you. You talk tough and that’s it. You’re irrelevant to the grand scheme. When the earth begins to burn you’re going to burn along with the vast majority of the rest of the world. No one cares. You want to hate, fine. Do it. Where does that get you at the end of the day? No where. And you will continue being nothing to so many people. Stamp your feet, scream, cry. Do whatever you have to do. It will change nothing. You can change nothing. Regardless of how hard you try to impact people, you never will. And why is that? Because you’re irrelevant. You’re dissatisfied with everything and everyone around you because you can never be satisfied and that makes you miserable. So what do you do? You share your misery. You do the same exact thing that’s been done to you so many times, but that’s ok right? Because it’s not your fault right? Everyone screams for change, but all we do is the same things over and over again. So if that’s the case, why does it matter? Why do you matter? Whit makes you and your thoughts more important than the next person? You’re not good enough because no one is good enough and no one ever will be.

What I find the funniest is blaming everything around you as being wrong, you’re surrounded by bad people and enemies, yet you never question whether you’re the problem. Don’t worry about it though because it’s a new minute so I’m sure you have something new to hate

There you go. Thinking you are more important than you actually are. Just got off of work, smoking a bowl, and watching King of the Hill. That’s right. You’re important enough to me to kill time. That’s about it though

I’ve read Nietzsche, and dipped in Camus, but will admit I need to read more. I’m assuming you mean Smith that’s a typo in which case, I have no clue who you mean. I’ve also read Diogenes, Socrates, and Confucius (which I believe I am contradicting the most)

Ay, based- the smth was an abbreviation of “something”. Confucian ethics is absolutely at odds with your post lol, but Confucius isn’t everyone’s vibe!

I think that there’s this place that a lot of people reach when grappling with the meaninglessness of existence, where they get stuck in existential despair.

My comment was glib, but the core of it was meant to be like: “keep going, keep investigating those ideas and push yourself to learn more.” If you can get ahold of some Emil Cioran, Kirkegaard, Ernest Becker, and José Ortega they’re good- I’d revisit Camus, then touch on Cioran first, probably. Deals a lot with absurdity and failure. Try not to get put off by the religious overtones of Kirkegaard.

        Stick with it!

I say this all the time about interface design. I truly believe most of the designers are either doing crack or were dropped on their heads way too many times. There’s a few good programs (interface design) but a lot of them just suck.

I honestly appreciate your concern, but no. I honestly try to do everything I can to find my own happiness. And most days I like to think I’m succeeding. Got an awesome supportive gf, a job that I enjoy working, two dogs that are absolutely ecstatic when I get home, and a one year plan of marrying my girlfriend and starting our family is going great.

I also am glad that reality brings you solice. It does the same for me. It’s so much weight takien off your shoulders. But since you think like that, you can also understand the existential double-edged sword

I will (definitely) not the “The next Brad Pitt”… but I’m not gonna throw the towel and cross my arms and whine about it constantly.

    Why?

Because that will not make my life (and everyone else’s) better.

Embrace (and love) what you already are…right now. Even if you are really sad, or depressed.

    Why?

Because that -WILL- make your life (and everyone else’s) better.

Probably for the best isn’t it? Think of all the famous people throughout history. Who among them lived a long happy life and died peacefully? Very few.

Thank you for posting this view.

I kind of empathise with you. In a way, you’re right. From, say, a cosmic perspective, that males sense.

At the same, reading you felt I wasn’t your target audience. Perhaps you have someone or some group in mind to whom you directed this message.

As it stands, your words seem a bit out of place. Not entirely, but somewhat. Because what you say is true in a way, but also untrue.

It’s a bit like looking at a coin from one side. If I say the coin is only like that side I’m seeing, I’m not being entirely correct, right? So that’s the thing. I feel you’re failing to acknowledge the other side of that coin.

But, anyway, who am I to know what you had in mind? If posting this was in any way meaningful/beneficial to you, more power to you.

Everything you do has a significant impact. When you take care of yourself, love yourself, and proactively change what’s in your control, you inspire those around you. Your actions shape their behavior and perspective. But if you let your hardships get the best of you and you start to harbor resentment towards the world, it negatively affects EVERYTHING in the world. This negative mindset spreads, bringing down not just you, but those around too. Hell, it affects the animals and plants that you come across. Just the pheromones you emit and the way you walk changes peoples paths and their thoughts. Your actions matter. They have consequences. I’m typing this response quickly to balance out your negative post, and it’s making me late for work. It’s time to get your act together. Only you can change your situation. Try to become proficient at something and make a positive contribution to society. Good luck, everything you need to improve is already within you. Just follow your heart, and don’t overthink. Love yourself and you’ll love the world too.

I enjoy photography. Don’t misunderstand. I’m not depressed. Just truly fed up with people. I’ve said it a million and one times, but this time it felt like something clicked. I just can’t even care anymore. So many people just wish ill will for no reason except they can. How important do you have to think of yourself to do that? Why waste energy ro hate? So I would much rather not spend any energy at all on the people that don’t deserve it. I feel it was more of a courtesy for me to post it than anything. Hope that doesn’t sound conceited

Why should you let what other people do get to you? People wish ill will all the time, people hate for no reason all the time, and do other horrible stuff. The reality of the world is that it’s a bit of a turd IMO, but I don’t think you should let all the negative stuff shape your view.

There are people that care about others too much, and people that do too much good for their own good IMO. There are people that try and make a tiny corner of the planet a better place.

Surround yourself with people that put you first, and people that care about you, I don’t think its worth letting shitty people and horrible events live rent free in your mind.
