Why is financial info / purchase history collected?
To check your in-app purchases / subscriptions.
Sync can only check its own purchase history.
I went to pre register Sync and saw the list of data it collects. It turned me off. I will just keep using Connect for Lemmy.
It looks like there will be a paid version via an in-app purchase, so I imagine that this permission is used for license validation between installs.
