I’m an asexual woman with a boyfriend. Although I don’t particularly like sex, I kind of would like to start a family with him and have kids with him.

I know I could just adopt, but I have no idea if I really have the money for that.

I am aware that me and my boyfriend alone would be considered family, but I also like the idea of getting to raise kids, what they’ll look/act like, being a Mom, etc.

I feel indifferent on the subject of having kids. When I’ll get older, I’ll volunteer for adoption, but that’s as far as I’ll go. Though for me, it has more to do with gender dysphoria than anything else.

That makes a lot of sense. I might have (not gender dysphoria but) body dysmorphia and that’s why.

If you find sex uninteresting and not actively repulsive I might suggest natural conception using ovulation timing and the like to up your odds.

If the cost of adoption is scaring you then IVF and the like are probably going to be discouragingly high. Though I would mention that childbirth and rearing can also be quite expensive. Growing your family is a big financial commitment.

Asexual with kids here. My partner had a son already when she and I met. A few years later we decided to try for another and ended up having twins.

I might be a bad example though because I’m kind of just indifferent to sex. I don’t particularly dislike it. Though I gotta say the process of trying really pushed that to the limit.
