I am looking to build a feed that will provide me with decent takes on sociopolitical, economic, and public health through a leftist lens.

I know its inundated with libs, but so is the rest of the web. The thing I want is the quick, short form, twitter-esque style of posting without the add-revenue algorithm.

I know this is a reach on any centralized platform, but for now Bluesky does not seem THAT terrible in that regard.

Thanks friends.

I am on mastodon as well, but its a friends server where I try to cultivate the more wholesome feed. Quirky tech shit, cool art projects, retro video game stuff. I should probably set up another account for more of the sociopolitical stuff.

I gave up looking for any leftists or leftist dialog on Bluesky. Bluesky blocking and muting is nuclear and libs are crazy for that shit so they use those functions to silence leftists. Bluesky has something called “starter packs” - https://www.google.com/search?q=bluesky+starter+packs

You could google stuff like bluesky leftism starter packs. The problem is I assume some (or a lot?) of those packs aren’t by and for leftists. Instead they are by and for liberals to block leftists. Bluesky libs really are that bad.
