I remember childhood thoughts of watching shows on nickelodeon and cartoon network and thinking I had to watch and enjoy these cause this is what Humans children do. I still think about how weird it was.
Wait the general sense of “enduring” childhood activities isn’t normal?
I liked SpongeBob, and playing with my “sciencey” toys, and maybe one or two of my console games, and select few movies. The rest was “well this is what people do” until I got old enough to engage in stuff I actively wanted to, like age 10-14 for games and adulthood for other media and life activities.
Yeah, according to my brothers and my partner they never felt that way.
I played football for years although I hated it. But it was the normal thing to do for boys my age.
