The irony here is that Trump’s coalition was so broad because these minority groups felt abandoned when Biden didn’t fulfill his promises, but everyone here is kind of just pretending Harris would have actually done something for them. Whether it was inflation, cop cities, endless war, abortion repeal, or assisting in the perpetration of child genocide, Dems did a really shitty job.

And for those of you about to whine about ‘both sides-ism’, yes, both of you do lie and make extravagant promises during campaign time, and then always fail to deliver.

But you still vote Democrat and Republican anyway.

When Democrats lose, there’s endless navel-gazing and wondering what went wrong. If there was enough minority outreach, if there was enough non-minority outreach, what policies should’ve been passed or left on the cutting room floor.

When Republicans lose, they simply don’t give a fuck. No one on the right was asking after Trump’s loss in 2020 whether it was a mistake to let him run again or if he should’ve done an interview with Charlamagne the God. They just doubled down on Trump.

The point isn’t to say Democrats should be more like Republicans. Republicans are a loony cult, no one should be like them. The point is that there is an extreme and insane double standard, and anyone who acts like Democrats are the ones who need to be harsher on their candidates is hard to take seriously.

LOL, I remember in Biden’s State of the Union when he ridiculed the Defund the Police movement, and it became crystal clear that you were voting fascist no matter who you picked.

Fuck yes Dems should be more discerning, but it’s not like you the voter have any power. It’s the rich picking your candidates for you too.

The point is this guy VOTED for this. He’s not taking the both sides bs argument. He actively supported this, there is a bigggggg difference.

I do appreciate that he isn’t just pretending Trump is powerless like Democrats always do after the election.

Sure, let’s say “things didn’t improve much” and “they’re actively trying to kill us” is the very exact same thing, and justify taking sides with the later.

Yeah and I guess you vote third party or not at all which also is a vote for trump. Or maybe you’re not even in the US. Pie in the sky idealism is great but unless you’re organizing and changing the system BEFORE a generationally crucial election, and you voted third party (aka for trump) then you are just as naive and you’ll suffer along with everyone else for your ridiculous unrealistic ideals.

Harris would not have doomed us all to climate change or borked the whole fed government (the consequences of which we’re already seeing and will only get much worse in the coming months) and definitely wouldn’t have blamed a plane crash on all non-white people with straight up Jim Crow era messaging. Your comment is disingenuous or severely misinformed.
