I imagine it’s probably gonna end up with the exact same problem as the PS5. Scalpers buying up every single unit imaginable and selling it at a ridiculous mark-up. Scalpers know people will be willing to pay since it’s Sintendo and there’s almost no way to stop them.
The way you stop a bad guy with a scalping knife is a good guy with a gun! Wait, I mean a good scalper. Let’s all team up to buy as many as possible and sell them online in some equitable way for retail price.
Maybe a lottery. Having your name pulled means you get to buy one at full price. Nintendo and retailers could do this themselves, but they won’t.
We’ll see. At first glance, everything about it is reminding me of the Wii U launch.
