Win 11 is literally spyware
Yea, I saw another post arguing that. Spyware does it without your consent.
Although, post a new topic and we’ll see where it goes. It could be an interesting discussion.
Not everyone would consent if they had the option. That’s why debloat tools exist to manually remove it.
The thing is Windows 11 phones home & 3rd parties the moment you connect to the Internet before you even install it. Sending various telemetry data to Steam, McAfee, geo.prod.do, Comscore, etc. and linking all this to your Microsoft account apon login during install. Presumably to build a profile on you for marketing/targeted ads.
You maybe aware that there’s various opt-out options during this process, however you maybe unaware that the options don’t cover all vectors of telematry they collect and share with 3rd parties.
One could argue that having to opt-out to any of it in the first place is a anti-consumer practice & dark pattern designed to get unaware/tech illiterate people to agree to something that they’d otherwise wouldn’t.
You could argue that you agree to this by choosing to use Windows as stated by Microsoft’s Privacy Policy & TOS, but not everyone has the option to use something else.
The conversation shouldn’t be whether or not if Windows 11 is spyware because that’s already been established over & over again, but what should be done to circumvent it if you don’t want to consent to any of it or how the windows community should go about pressuring Microsoft to allow you to at least opt-out of all it.
