It’s probably a pretty polar experience, watching The Boys, but man, I love this series. Gratified that they will be able to close out the show on their own terms.

Love the show also! Peacemaker was along the same lines of greatness for those that haven’t checked that out yet! And if you end up being a fan of John Cena for it, Ricky Stanicky is great!

Man, Peacemaker came out of nowhere and instantly became one of my favourite shows. Along with The Boys.

I watched the first three seasons. I don’t know that I can really say I enjoyed them, so to speak, but I found the show compelling. I mean, I certainly enjoyed parts of them. But I absolutely hated other parts, like the over-the-top gross-out scenes and gore and “edgelordism,” as you call it.

I’ve tried to work up the energy to watch season 4 since it was released, but I haven’t been able to muster it. I realized the bleakness and nihilism just weren’t working for me. The world is depressing enough already without being reminded of it while trying to unwind.

Same. Season 4 just felt so same-same that the energy to watch it left my body about 10 minutes into the first episode

Agree about the edgelordism. Being edgy is fine, but at this point the show is just doing it for the sake of being edgy.
