    To be clear, I am for LGBTQ+ rights. I don’t exactly understand why everyone is annoyed at this article then.

      You don’t understand why people would be upset by legislation that limits the freedoms of a group of people based on their gender identity?

      Especially when it’s kids and health care?

        Seems like most of the bill is good, and there haven’t been changes for 30 years. So a smaller step is better than zero change. Also limiting it is a moderate position then. It’s less liberal, but it appeases a wider audience. Over time that’s likely to develop further too as it sits with people. I’d rather small changes like this which actually move the needle than to look at some provisions of this and say it’s 100% wrong or worthless. It’s not black and white.
