Still a successful film as the author claims.

I genuinely thought the movie finished halfway through the movie. Then it continued, building up into a political thriller and put a different lens on the first half.

First half for me was a documentary and I believe that’s what the reviewer wished for further exploration. Of Oppie’s character and of the decisions that led to it.

Would still recommend the film because you could leave the cinema at any moment in time and still have a lot of chew upon. If you stay till the end, you see Nolan’s story and his take on Oppie’s character.

Working in engineering, amusingly, I saw Oppie working in a relatively hyper competent work environment. A “secret” project manager more than a scientist. You never see many depictions of project managers who have such forest (/universal) view. Really scratched that itch of mine!

    Plus it’s pretty.

Thank you, now it’s sounding more attractive, but it’d be a 50 mile drive to the closest IMAX (ours undergoing renovations ATM); so I may have to settle for less screen real estate and refer to the printed source material for further depth on the subject.

Most welcome, can’t imagine any movie is worth that distance!

It’s a fun watch… minimum requirements: some pirates, good headphones and uninterrupted 3hrs. Anything else is a bonus.

Hope you have a good day.
