My favourite line is the one about how FIFA has “learned its lessons” from Qatar.
The lessons being, apparently, to make the same idiotic, money-grabbing choices as before, with no regard for fan culture, human rights, or even basic morality.
Fuck FIFA.
They have evidently learned that giving it to the nations that are richest and most ethically dubiously results in the best kickbacks.
My advice would be not to go to a basket case country just to watch some football.
In fact, it would be far better if people did this so maybe FIFA would then stop being such a bullshit organisation.
