I fleed Syria just before Assad fleed, I thought there would be a bloody last stand so I took off before I get conscripted (I’ve never carried a gun before) and went to my father abroad, only to find out he’s a controlling maniac who took my passport and punches me uncontrollably, he wants to force me into his dirty work and I’ve never even worked before, I have no idea where he hid my passport, I have enough support to get a plane ticket back home, but I need my passport and the nearest plane is 10 days away, I’m starting to lose my mind, he’s always busting my balls and telling me I should do his dirty shit, but I keep refusing and it’s pissing fucking him off, I don’t know what to do, I have nothing to lose so I’m considering suicide or running away without a passport, he will hurt me if I get the police involved, my visa ends in a month anyway, I don’t think you can help me, I’m losing it
You could go to the embassy/consulate (if there is one near you), tell them you misplaced your passport and get a temporary passport just to go back home.
I know you said you’re afraid to get the police involved, but that may be your only option
