An iconic, award-winning pack for everyday and photo carry, the all-new Everyday Backpack is built around access, organization, expansion, and protection.
Do you live a low car / no car life? At the point where bags become something you use for hours everyday instead of minutes at a time from car to location and back you suddenly realize that price tag is 2 - 3 times of filling up your gastank for, say, 2 hours of use for the next 10 years
It makes sense if you’re biking, yeah. I drive once a month but for walking and transit I usually just make use of a “JanSport” bag from the 80s, who knows how it hasn’t disintegrated by now. If I need to bring stuff back a few folded tote bags in there has worked.
I mean your car is basically an inventory holder among other things so it makes little sense to spend big bucks on a backpack unless you’re into hiking. It’s just once the car is out of the picture the use cases change a lot.
Honestly if I had the need for a good backpack I’d start looking for something like this, seems well thought out. Don’t like the mag latches particularly because they are quiet but other than that? Good access, seems configurable for both bulk loads and lots of different shit, got some outside straps for lightweight bulky stuff. I’d rock this baby loaded with some good EDC stuff
I’m not gonna go to bat for this specific product or brand, might well be overpriced or shit or both but I don’t think $300 for a bag is that outrageous for someone to have in NYC where a low car / no car lifestyle is actually feasible, but it often escapes peoples mind as places where that is feasible are far and few

Combine that with a windbreaker with a million pockets and you’re ready to not see your house for days on end.
