It’s all part of good breeding. Really.
Beverly Hills teenager Bill Whitney begins to suspect that his wealthy parents are part of a gruesome cult for the social elite.
Great recommendation. Just watched it with the SO and… Wow. Honestly a good film but like also a bit mind breaking “what-the-fuckery” .
And also like really blunt at the end after being somewhat subtle with everything up till then…
I think it’s missing some shots to put scenes together but what a fun movie to mess with people, teach them class struggles, and give some really awesome visuals at a Halloween party all at once.
Yeah never heard of this…
Like good bad or just good good?
It’s kinds of ok for most of the movie. Basic 80s plot that’s gets more and more conspiracy as it goes on. However the last 20 minutes goes totally bonkers off the wall insane.
If you feel like giving up on the movie because it’s slow just jump to the dinner party at the end. It makes the movie.
Brian Yuzna’s first movie. If you like the end check out his other stuff. Faust is great and he produced Suitable Flesh last year.
So it’s funny cause I like Faust, recommend it to others and have made a big deal to rewatch From beyond and re-animator and as I look into this it’s somehow all dancing around this one.
I think I’ll try to give it a go.
Yeah he produced Re-animator and From Beyond. Stuart Gordon’s first two films. He also helped a a lot of other directors on their first movies.
He and Stuart Gordon co wrote Honey, I Shrunk the Kids as well. Gordon was originally going to direct.
You should also check out Suitable Flesh.
I’d say it’s good good.
It was good good.
I’m glad you had a good time with it! :)
I’ll second this! I believe Joe Bob Briggs featured this movie in an episode of The Last Drive-in sometime in the past few seasons. Always worth checking out Joe Bob’s presentations if you have access to Shudder.
Neat! Sometimes hard to tell and this one looks hard to talk about.
Brian Yuzna’s infamous body-horror comedy.
Hah, I just watched this for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I’m not sure I’d even classify it as a true B movie, it was decently well done fora horror movie in the 80s. I feel like they drag it out a little, but the payout was worth it.
Ah. A classic. Joe Bob featured this one a while back on the last drive in
Wait, Joe Bob Briggs is still around? I haven’t seen him since he was on cable in the late 90s.
Yes! He’s on shutter now. For like the last 5 years or so. I never miss an episode.
