I love EDM, but there’s a subset/trope of it that annoys the shit out of me. It’s songs that rhythmically mute or go quiet along with the beat. It grates on my brain and makes me think there’s something wrong with my speakers/headphones.

I can’t find an immediate example, but it’s usually in YouTuber channel intros or stock/royalty-free EDM songs.
