I got a feeling this is gonna be annoying as hell, given various timing delays from different devices.
Hell, my matching earbuds can’t even stay in phase half the time.
It’s using LE Audio, which is a new tech explicitly designed for this. Syncing audio should not be an issue, at least once it has some time to mature and client devices improve support https://www.bluetooth.com/blog/10-frequently-asked-questions-on-le-isochronous-channels/
Huh. It never occurred to me to wonder how my earbuds keep in sync.
Unfortunately my left one won’t charge anymore, but when it did, half the time it wouldn’t sync up in time with my right one.
They’re not exactly name brand, so I can’t complain much, but yeah that can be an issue, and it’s really annoying to listen to when they don’t exactly sync up.
Mine were like $20, so I didn’t expect much. Similar boat, I think.
Does my phone connect to both earbuds individually, or is one the primary and it passes on the audio to the other?
The latter.
That I do not know. Mine were advertised as being able to individually connect to two different devices, but I never tested that supposed feature.
Sigh, left one now dead, guess I’ll never get to test that ☹️
Won’t matter that much for just sharing music/tv/movie/youtube with a friend in public
They’ll just end up charging extra for sharing your media with friends.
This is literally already a feature on samsung’s OneUI, I use it to watch movies with the wife on airplanes and the like. Sync issues between bluetooth devices would only be a problem if you were trying to use it for like a surround system or something.
Not immediately. Gotta give that teaser trial to hook you…
