Currently playing on a private server CatseyeXI that offers different game modes for players. There’s the classic wings mode (which I’m trying out) that’s the 75 level cap era grind of the first four expansions of XI. There’s accelerated catseye which mimics retail allowing you to have double exp, faster skill gains, and the use of npc trusts so you can solo. Then there’s the hardcore crystal warrior mode, which is self found only and you can only party up with other crystals, and I believe when you die you go back to level one.
Curious if anyone would want to play. I’m mostly on during daytime est into early afternoon if that’s good for you. I could do nights too but only up to about 11 pm since I try to keep a sleep schedule.
Besides the obvious one you listed (different modes and features closer do retail), do you know if there are any major differences to Horizon? I only play very sporadically but I enjoy the 75 era feel the most, so Horizon has been the best fit for me so far, but I’m curious about catseye since I saw some people talking about it

Here’s their wiki page that details the exp and skill gain rates and whatnot. afaik it’s about the same as horizion when playing wings mode.
The answer is probably obvious but: can you play this on linux?
Pretty sure you can, I think I remember someone mentioning in the global chat they’re on linux.
