“While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change,” said the Vermont Independent. “And they’re right.”

I love Bernie but unless you live in Vermont, his presence is now irrelevant, and the DNC isn’t going to allow another one of him to spring up again.

I’d like to also blame Obama. No, seriously. That dude has rigged the democratic nominating process for the last three election cycles and it has led us here.

I too want to blame Obama. But Obama actually somewhat tried

Obama was behind the initial push to get rid of Biden and hold an open primary. The writing was on the wall. Absolutely no way Biden could win.

People like Bernie worked against Obama to keep Biden. Only after months, and the entire party having to admit Biden was a lost cause at the CNN debate, they swapped out Biden for Kamala instead of holding an open election.

By endorsing Kamala from the top down and pressuring all democrats to “fall in line for unity” we ended up with one of the worst possible candidates. Kamala was deeply unpopular in 2020.

You can blame Bernie instead of Obama for this loss.

Bernie is a grifter. Instead of looking for alternatives all the little mice now get behind the Sanders.

The Pied Piper will sell them out in 2028 and endorse a Republican once more.

        1. Obama backed Hillary very forcefully in 2016 and discouraged all other Democrats from running. This largely worked. Only Bernie was willing to join the race. Biden was sidelined, even though he very much wanted to run in 2016 and was still young enough to do it. Unfortunately, this move meant the Democrats didn’t nominate a candidate that could’ve beat Trump because the options were limited and Obama had his thumb on the scale for Hillary.
        2. In 2020, Bernie had widespread appeal and was winning primaries and gaining momentum. Obama phoned up several non-progressives and had them all drop out and give their delegates to Biden, who at this point was showing his age and obviously would’ve been too old for a second term.
        3. In 2024, Biden’s age starts to show, but democrats ignore it. Instead, subvert the primary process and push in a “Party Boss Approved” candidate. Obama gives her his rubber stamp. Democrats again lose to Donald Trump.

Day late and dollar short. Bernie was the first in line to endorse the big donor tent.

Bernie is part of that coalition of big money. Brother endorsed Kamala the whole time, refused to pressure her and refused to call the war on Gaza a genocide. He should eat his own dogfood.
