I want to try some enby styles as a part of finding my gender identity. I have very curly, orange hair that i don’t know what to do with. right now it’s pretty long, but when i brushed it out i couldn’t tie it back behind my head with a clip. any ideas are greatly appreciated, TIA
Curl type isn’t everything but it’d be really nice to have an idea of yours. Here is a chart
uh, i’d have to guess 3a but in all honesty it could be any of the 3’s. not too sure.

Variation in hair textures is normal and dependant in a fuckton of factors. Regardless, we share a curl pattern and what I have found has worked best for me, primarily due to the thickness of my hair and desire for androgeny, is fully shaving the sides and back of my head while letting the top grow to about shoulder length. It gives me the ability to put my hair up in a bun, ponytail, or clip and look more traditionally masculine while reserving the ability to put down my hair and look more traditionally feminine. This won’t work if your hair is not thick enough however. It needs to be able to fully obscure the shaved bits when down. I started using this hairstyle because I wanted to grow mine out but it eventually became a huge hastle to wash, got really hot in the sun, and was really triangularly shaped due to hair thicknes.
thank you for the advice!
can you find images online that look similar to what you have, it sounds kinda like an undercut but I might be misunderstanding
shaved head.
Mullet?
I’ve seen cute curly mullets on men and women
Yeah now is the time of the all-gender mullet. Seen all kinds of folks getting it.
people say wolf cuts are over but they are still going strong, think is gonna be our decades undercut.
I’m between 3b and 3c and nonbinary. Usually I keep the sides and back clipped/faded either to a curly mullet or just curls on top. I haven’t done fades as much since I’ve been out, but I used to always wear what I’d call futbol haircuts. I grow my hair out longer now which gives me more options for femme and andro presentation. I’ll post some of my inspiration pictures somewhere to share later.
What’s your hair texture? That’ll open up the suggestions you can get but as a general rule single braids or double braids if you have anything up to 3c hair work pretty well as a protective style and are pretty gender neutral
