Problem: two tracks overlap frequencies (e.g. voice and and instrument).

Usual solution: eq down on the instrument to free the frequencies

Problem 2: instrument doesn’t sound right when playing alone

Solution :

• route voice to instrument channel 3
• automate EQ with channel 3 so that th eq goes down only when a signal is there.

Quick and dirty way to do it faster than manual automation. Has a nice whisper to loud result.
