Do the studios just hate the US exhibition industry now? There’s no way movie theaters can survive this kind of home viewing turn-around.
Or is it simply our inability to function like reasonable people in large groups, making it impossible to assume you’re going to be able to watch a movie in a theater all the way through without being disturbed by phones, talking, screaming children or whatever else people do in theaters?
Going to say it’s more that the film is probably not making the money they hoped for in theaters. It seems lately when movies don’t do well in theaters it’s quickly released to home streaming. Borderland/the crow were on prime within a few weeks. Beetlejuice 2 did better in theaters and took a couple months.
Children movies I would assume are quick to release because parents are more inclined to watch it at home than take their kids to the theater. A family with a couple kids a theater trip can blow over $100 easy.
That’s fast
Was skeptical, enjoyed movie.
Oh that’s nice. We wanted to watch that, but taking the kid to the theater was gonna be pretty expensive for us. We’ll probably watch it this weekend now.
This movie was really good I highly recommend it! I was shocked to find out the fox was Pedro Pascal because I think he sounds exactly like Ben Schwartz.
