Apparently they did this to the IOS version a few weeks ago and here we are, doing it on android too. “Play with friends”.
This implies a secondary version, “Minecraft: play with Enemies”
Think those are also called Realms…

Bedrock is terrible anyway and has Google’s DRM malware. Use Pojav Launcher to play Minecraft on Android. I can share my control layout if you like as the default one isn’t great.
I’d never heard of this before. Installed! Runs remarkably well and way better than bedrock garbage.
