Dang nabbit! I missed the deadline for my state :( Dont make the mistake i made!
PEOPLE GO REGISTER. VOTE, VOTE, VOTE MAKE A CHANGE!
Which state are you in? Some states have same day voter registration where you can ask to register to vote in person on the same time that you cast a ballot - often after the online and mail deadline
Also if you registered to vote in the past, it should still be active unless it was purged, in which case you might be able to argue with the registrar about it
Indiana, it was October 7 deadline and i have never voted before. So it wouldnt carry over :(
From what i can find theres no in person same day voting. You must be registered 30days before.
Thanks for trying to help tho!
Ah, well you can still register today for the next election while you’re at it so you don’t miss it. In Indiana, the next elections will be the 2026 Midterms. And don’t discount midterms or non-presidental races. There are can often some truly insane people running down ballot. For instance, the republican Mike Braun running for Indiana governor has said that he think the supreme court was wrong to legalize interracial marriage nationally. Or on the flip side there are often some unappreciated and really great people running locally who don’t get much media attention
Note for the people reading this in Virginia, Virginia is state that has elections every single year and Virginia does have same day voter registration through election day
Thanks alot, and ill do that now so i dont forget!
Cheers kind stranger
–edit fixed soooo many typos
Nice! Here’s also the site to register online for Indiana
Good news, I registered to vote when i got my license! So i can vote this year!!
Already voted baby, let’s go!
Man, I just had a thought. Imagine if Lauryn Hill showed up to a rally and performed Fugeela but to the tune of Kamalala. Yes, I will be singing this in my head today. Vote!
Nice! Also good to encourage others around you to vote early too if they haven’t. Helps to ensure that people don’t have to worry about something like getting sick on election day
For Virginia, the election website has a handy early in person voting location finder to send to people

It also helps campaigners to not waste time trying to get you to vote. If they can just cross you off the list, they can narrow their focus.
Yep, and that’s a benefit to yourself too to not be bothered (as much) by campaigns
