Starfield just had its first DLC launch with Shattered Space. Now, it looks like the design director is making a response to criticisms.
They also note that they are very proud of Shattered Space, with most of the quests and levels being done by designers who have been working with Bethesda all the way back to Morrowind.
Maybe it’s time to give someone else a try.
For real. Maybe they’re completely burned-out at this point.
Starfield has been a baffling thing to watch internet discourse over.
I feel like the game met every expectation I had for it and is quite entertaining yet every YouTuber has to make a ten hour essay about how Starfield is ruining games forever.
Finally I’ve found it. The average gamer that rewards shitty game devs for pushing slop after slop onto consumers.

$30 for such a half-assed DLC is a pretty big ask though, Skyrim had Dragonborn which was much bigger and cheaper as well.
Same with Star Wars Outlaws, maybe hating the game gets them more clicks. And then a year from now they can make videos talking about how Outlaws is great now and was underappreciated on launch.
I feel the same way.
I wonder if some of it might be due to the Microsoft acquisition.
