The southern French city of Marseille was shaken this week by two apparently drug-related killings, including the murder of a 15-year-old boy who was “stabbed 50 times” and burned alive, prosecutors said on Sunday.

You can still be significantly alive after 50 stabbings? Forgive my insensitivity but I’m genuinely shocked.
Depends where you’re stabbed. I imagine you could be stabbed hundreds of times if each and every one of those stab wounds missed vital organs, arteries and veins.
In fact, massively injuring another human being without killing them used to be a form of punishment.
