Same! I’m pretty sure I haven’t vomited since 1996, which was an incident involving a slightly undercooked Jack’s “rising crust” frozen pizza that I scarfed down right before leaving for work. The yeast was still active, and I managed to befoul both a water fountain and a public restroom sink at my job. A coworker and bandmate took Polaroids of the carnage, so suffice it to say that the incident sticks in my memory just a tad.
The closest I’ve gotten since then was a few months ago when my spouse slipped me a gummy without reading the label first. Turns out they were 200 mg of D8/D9 blend and that you are absolutely not supposed to take the whole thing in one sitting. I don’t partake very often because someone has to be the sober goddamned adult around here, so my tolerance was basically nil. It was around 27 hours before that shit was totally out of my system, and I spent a good chunk of the first night hovering over my plastic trash bin, fully expecting to break my 28-year no-vomit streak.
Keep a barf bucket nearby, just in case.
