I’ve been eyeing getting an e-ink notebook for ages, finally decided to take the plunge. I really appreciated how transparent and anti-planned obsolescence Supernote is, and I’m excited to get my hands on the A6 X2.
I’ve got the A6X and love it. I want the A6X2/Nomad but can’t justify the cost. The nomad is great but really, my A6X is not causing me any issues.
I do think I’ll buy the A5X2 though. Just to have a larger screen for sketching in Atelier.
I’m jealous of your Nomad though! Hope you dig it!
Oh I’ve been loving it! A few quibbles here and there (like if pdfs could maintain zoom levels, so you don’t have to re-zoom every time you switch away and back), but overall I’m super glad I got it. Just wish it had existed back when I was in college!
Ah yeah I don’t do anything with pdfs on mine so I haven’t had to experience any of those issues. I can definitely see how that would be annoying though.
Overall though I’m like you – definitely loving the entire experience!
On a side note, I decided not to get the A5X2 and instead got a Boox Go 10.3. I realized the Supernote shines for me as a notebook/sketchbook replacement. And all of paper ones were A6 sized.
The larger A5 size I think I want more for general tablet esque things like reading news, RSS feeds, etc. This led me to try the Boox. I have a Palma that I use for reading so I have a decent idea of how Boox does stuff.
We’ll see how it goes. If I hate it I’ll just return it and get the A5X2 and sideload apps I want to use.
Yeah, I generally like the smaller size and the fact that it’s pretty distraction-free (though I could add more apps, I’m refraining from doing so). I also really appreciate Supernote’s commitment to repairability and their transparency in their development, so those were big things that swayed my original choice.
